National Storytelling Week 2019

Last Kiss by Knut Hybinette

“Stories belong to everyone…. what’s your story? What will you be telling and where will you be telling it?”

Created by Del Reid and Paul Jackson from the Society for Storytelling, National Story Telling Week is now in its 19th year, and is taking place from 26th January to 2nd February 2019.

National Storytelling Week will be taking place in theatres, museums, schools, hospitals and care homes to name just a few venues around the country.

An example of such events is one that is taking place in London. The venue is a secret garden, with a shape-shifting story being told around a fire, with music and starlight as an accompaniment!

All who join in are encouraged to share their stories and images on the ‘National Storytelling Week 2019’ and the ‘Society for Storytelling’ Facebook pages.

So, as the Society for Storytelling say on their website: if you have a story to tell, tell it; and if you don’t, find someone to tell you their’s.
