Humans have been fascinated with geometrical shapes since the first record of our existence; a fascination that translates into our everyday existence and artistic images make good use of graphic elements of design.

Within this theme we are looking for photos that showcase line, shape, pattern, form, texture and perspective, etc.

Entries can depict any subject matter and great examples of formations can be found everywhere! Why not consider exploring the patterns of nature…cloud formations, the logarithmic spiral patterns in plant growth, or the perfectly hexagonal cross-section of honeycombs.

Alternately you could try looking at your immediate surroundings with a fresh eye, make the familiar and ordinary into something new and striking. Why not explore the shape in architecture and man-made forms?

We really hope you enjoy the exploration of this theme and we can’t wait to see your entries!
