‘And now the people know’ by Leticia Valverdes

We are delighted to be able to show you this image created by last year’s TPA/RPS Environmental Bursary winner, Leticia Valverdes.

Leticia has been working with the Mundaruku people of Brazil for years, gaining their trust and researching the connection between the gold mining done in their homeland, and the mercury poisoning of their soil as a result.

Leticia’s images are exhibiting in Belem, Brazil as part of the exhibition , ‘Images to postpone the end of the world’ and are coinciding with COP30 on climate change, also taking place there
